The Edipresse Group is to purchase 52% of the share capital of the Russian magazine publisher ID Kone-Liga Press ZAO.
At the Annual General Meeting of Le Temps SA on Friday 20 June, shareholders of the company, which publishes the daily newspaper of the same name, were advised of a capital restructuring plan designed to facilitate direct participation by Ringier SA. Ringier publishes magazines such as L'Hebdo, L'Illustré and Edelweiss in the French-speaking part of Switzerland.
Edipresse Suisse is focusing on its publications for the general public and has decided to look for a partner to take over its health sector magazines.
2003 Half-Year Results of the Edipresse Group
From 1 December 2003, the daily Vaud canton newspapers entitled La Presse Riviera Chablais and La Presse Nord Vaudois will no longer be printed in Montreux but on the more efficient rotary press at the Edipresse-Geneva Printing Centre (CIE-G) in Vernier.

The Edipresse Group (SWX: EDI) has today launched a CHF 100 million public bond issue. The 7-year bonds have a coupon of 4.0% per annum and an issue price of 100.45%.
The Geneva based firm, SME Agora Retail SA has taken over from the Edipresse Group Editions Optima SA, which publishes the health magazines Optima and Optipharm. Last July, Edipresse announced its intention to sell its specialized health magazines, in order to give priority to its general-interest publishing activities.
