Blaise Oberson joined Edipresse in 1998 as Director of Human Resources for Edipresse Switzerland where he held this post for more than 6 years. In the spring of 2005, Mr Oberson assumed the role of Group HR Director whereby he leveraged his know how from working in Switzerland and was instrumental in elaborating and implementing a Group wide HR policy.

On both the Group and Swiss level, Mr. Oberson worked closely with the Group CEO and local Edipresse Country Managing Directors in defining a HR policy based on management empowerment, accountability and clear responsibilities.

Edipresse Group CEO, Tibère Adler, commenting on Mr. Oberson’s departure, “Blaise was active in developing and promoting a companywide training and development program. Very comfortable and at ease in the realm of HR, Mr Oberson performed exceptionally well in crisis situations, most notably in Switzerland and Spain. Moreover, he made a very valuable contribution in ensuring that the company’s organizational culture is a benchmark example of an attractive and rewarding working environment”.

Mr Oberson goes on to explain “that deciding to leave Edipresse was perhaps one of the most difficult decisions of my life. I feel exceptionally close to the company and its people. It has been an exciting and gratifying time and Edipresse is truly a remarkable company in so many ways. I met some very talented people which I have enjoyed working with and learnt a lot from. After 10 years, I am now at the point in my life where I would now like to confront new career frontiers”.
