Born in 1957 in Geneva, Blaise Oberson obtained a Liberal Arts degree from the University of Geneva. After a period of teaching, he joined the International Committee of the Red Cross in 1987, holding different operational positions abroad (El Salvador, Nicaragua, Peru, Israel) and in the head office of the organisation. As of 1992, he developed his career in a new direction by specialising in the spheres of management and human resources.

Blaise Oberson joined the Edipresse Group in 1999. He was appointed Director of Human Resources for Switzerland in 2000 and since 2002 he has been responsible for the whole Group.
