Edipresse Suisse is focusing on its publications for the general public and has decided to look for a partner to take over its health sector magazines.
Edipresse is therefore considering selling its Editions Optima SA subsidiary which publishes the two well-known health magazines Optima and Optipharm.
Optima, flagship magazine of Editions Optima, had an REMP*-verified 2002 print run of 262'561 copies with 727'000 readers, a Swiss record for a specialised magazine. It is principally distributed by pharmacists, who offer it to their clients. It is the market leader in Switzerland where it has been present for 29 years. The magazine is highly appreciated by pharmacists, readers and advertisers.
Optipharm is a specialist magazine for pharmacy sector professionals. It has a circulation of 10'000 and is a strongly established source of specialised information.
Edipresse will favour a buyer with the desire and ability to develop and expand the magazines. Contacts have been made with professionals in the health and press fields.
