In 1992, Edipresse acquired a 50% stake in the company Impresa in Portugal. The Group, called Edimpresa, is one of the main publishers in the country. With over twenty magazines and websites, it is active in the women's, celebrity news, finance, youth and entertainment segments.
In May 2008, Edipresse Group has announced that it will be selling its 50% stake in the Portuguese magazine publishing company Edimpresa to its joint-venture partner Impresa. The transaction must still be formally submitted to the Portuguese competition authorities for approval.
