Edipresse Switzerland's General Management will be strengthened as of January 1st, 2009 with the appointment of Serge Reymond as new Deputy CEO.
In this position, Serge Reymond will foremost be asked to assist Théo Bouchat, to whom he will report directly, in the management of all of Edipresse Switzerland’s operations. In addition to his overall responsibilities, he will ensure in the interim the responsibilities of the Commercial Director position for Edipresse Switzerland, which will be created in January 2009.
Serge Reymond will then succeed Théo Bouchat as CEO of Edipresse Switzerland over the course of 2009. Indeed, Théo Bouchat has announced his intention to withdraw from management next summer and to limit his activity to a few assignments.
Serge Reymond, 45 years old and born in Lausanne, is married and the father of two children. After his studies in mathematics and economics, he worked in various areas, in particular Galenica (medical distribution) and the Swatch Group (watchmaking). In 1997, he joined the Naville company (of which Edipresse is a 35% shareholder) to manage Naville-Détail (management of stores and newsstands), which he successfully modernized and transformed. In 2007, he was appointed Chairman of the Naville company.
Serge Reymond’s career path has always led him to be at the junction between company management and sales strategy, with a profound understanding of French-speaking Switzerland. His competences will be valuable at the heart of Edipresse Group, which is looking forward to welcoming him.
