Born in 1948 in Langnau in the Emmental region, Marcel Siegenthaler completed a typographer apprenticeship and thereafter received a double degree in advertising and sales from SAWI.

After working as a technician with printers and publishing houses for several years, he joined Publicitas in Zurich, where he worked for 9 years and became Vice-Director, responsible for marketing and sales.

He was the Editorial Director for the Blick Group for seven years, before joining Edipresse in 2000 as Editorial Representative for the German-speaking market in Switzerland. He was responsible for Edipub's launch and from then onwards has been the Director of Advertising for all of Switzerland. He is a member of the Management Team of Edipresse Switzerland.
