These new acquisitions are in line with Edipresse Poland's successful strategy of acquiring local titles with a long tradition in the market.

Uroda, which targets young professional women, exists in Poland since 1957 and is recognised as a general interest magazine with a strong focus on beauty. Pani, launched in 1990, is a life-style magazine, aimed at mature and affluent women.

Both magazines have a long tradition in Poland, stable market positions and high brand awareness. These newly acquired high-end magazines perfectly complement Edipresse Poland's existing product range targeted at women and make it an even stronger player in this market segment.

Thanks to its portfolio of leading titles in Poland including the mainstream women's weekly Przyjaciólka, the people fortnightly Viva, the two parent-child magazines Mamo to ja and Twoje Dziecko, the health magazine Vita, the interior decoration monthly Dom & Wnêtrze and now the two life-style monthlies Pani and Uroda, Edipresse Polska is able to fulfil women's various needs and interests in practically every target group.

Currently Edipresse Polska is also working on the relaunch, planned for June 2002, of the recently acquired opinion-leader weekly Przekrój. In 2001 Edipresse Poland became number one nationally in terms of advertising revenues, clearly demonstrating its magazines' leading position in Poland.

In March 2002, the company, which employs 280 people, will be regrouping all its activities in an impressive new headquarters building in the heart of Warsaw.
