Peter Rothenbühler retains editorial responsibility for all Le Matin editions. He becomes Editorial Director. At the same time, he will have particular responsibility as chief editor of the weekday editions of Le Matin.

Michel Danthe studied at Lausanne and Geneva Universities (his first degree was in German language and literature) and at Harvard (Harvard Business School, AMP).

His journalistic career has taken him from the daily, La Suisse, his first newspaper, to the management of Migros media in Zurich. In between, he has worked for the weekly, Tout Va Bien; for Journal de Genève, where he gained practical experience with Samedi littéraire; and Le Nouveau Quotidien, where he was in charge of the society, sport and culture section.

More recently he held a management post with Construire and Brückenbauer, the French and German language weeklies of Migros, before taking over the management of all the retailer's major publications.

Apart from journalism, Michel Danthe spent five years teaching in Geneva (Ecole de culture générale Jean-Piaget) and one year in public relations (Information officer for Aide suisse contre le sida [Swiss Anti-AIDS Fund], Zurich).

Michel Danthe is very familiar with launching new titles, as well as revitalizing existing ones. After having done this seven times, he has learned about the importance of teamwork and the need for a clear strategy that is understood and accepted by everyone.

Michel Danthe, currently Edipresse Publications SA Project Manager in charge of free daily newspapers, will take up his new post on 15 August.
