Lausanne and Bucharest, 18 December 2007. Edipresse AS Romania has launched, under license from Hachette Filipacchi, Elle Bistro magazine, a modern cooking and cuisine concept which includes stylish recipes, advice on new food presentation techniques and the latest culinary trends and restaurants.
Elle Bistro is for people who place an importance on the social dimension of food and eating. Readers are mostly women between 25 and 49 years old, urban, modern, university educated and with an average to above average disposable income.
Elle Bistro caters to people who enjoy spending time in their kitchen as well as to those who may occasionally cook. For both groups, their aspirations are the same: cooking and eating needs to be a distinguishable and high quality experience whether it is in their own home or eating out in restaurants. Elle Bistro readers are keen to be kept abreast on new foods and wines and are open to trying different types of foods from other cultures.
What makes Elle Bistro especially unique is the publication's approach to features on cooking traditions, interviews with important personalities from the cooking and restaurant industry, advice on diet and health, restaurants reviews, tips for easy cooking, international recipes adapted for Romanian tastes, wine reviews, culinary events and shopping suggestions for everything related to cooking, eating and the kitchen.
The magazine will be published quarterly, with an initial print run of 20.000 copies and a rate card of 8900 RON for a full advertising page. The Editor-in-Chief is Adina Scortescu, and Editorial Director is Roxana Voloseniuc.
